Dear Jayne, My sister Lorraine and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the support you gave us whilst planning and organising the funerals of both our parents in the last few weeks. You were bright and friendly and very interested in all the many pieces of information we gave you about Mum and Dad and on both occasions you skill fully formed wonderful, touching and at times funny tributes. Thank you for giving us the cds of the music and the wonderful scripts that you read from too. I also appreciated very much that you wore your Black Watch tartan Jacket for Dad. Although I hope to not need your services again or at least not for a very long time for a funeral, I wouldn’t hesitate to ask you to act as my celebrant in the future- with great appreciation Hazel

Good morning Jayne,

Two days on from Mum’s cremation at Warriston and lovely memories of the event linger clear in our minds.  There is no doubt that your officiating, beautifully crafted eulogy and all-embracing intonation helped make it such a memorable occasion.  From her children and all of Mum’s extended family, thank you so, so much.  It was a shame that your busy diary prevented you joining us at the Botanical Gardens afterwards where we could have voiced our appreciation more personally.

You made Mum’s, and our day, very special and helped lessen the feeling of loss of someone who we all held so dear.

(A Wedding/Handfasting)

Marisa and I just wanted to send our heartfelt thanks to you for being part of our day.
You brought exactly the right mix of personal and professional to the ceremony and made it so special.
Your meticulous preparation and attention to detail made the day go perfectly and we felt confident knowing that you had it all under control.
None of our demands were too much for you and you worked so well with our Pagan celebrant making the day perfect.
Perhaps at your next wedding you’ll bring tissues. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house due to your beautiful words during our Handfasting.

(A Wedding)  Thank you… isn’t enough to say how grateful we are to you. We honestly don’t think it could have gone better for everybody. You gave us the confidence to relax and the calmness to be sincere and share the sentiment with each other and with our guests. (A Vow Renewal) A huge thank you to Jayne Johnson on carrying out a surprise  vow renewal at my 80s themed 40th birthday party my wife and daughter were totally gobsmacked lots of happy tears. I just wanted to write and thank you for coming to do my Mums funeral on Friday.

Your delivery and persona were perfect. It was also very lovely of you to come back to Garvock House afterwards and speak to our family and friends the way that you did.

Although it was a very sad occasion, everyone I spoke to really liked the eulogy and the ceremony itself.

For us, having you not only on the day of the funeral but also immediately after my mums death, and subsequently by e mail in the days leading up to the funeral were very important.

It really helped us greatly, especially coming to see you in person. Your advice about aspects of the funeral were also very wise.

All in all we would recommend you to anyone else who has just lost someone.

We wish you much success in your career for the future and we hope that you can help other people as much as you did with us.  (N & G)

I can’t find the words to thank you enough for everything you did for us.  Your professionalism, attention to detail, personal touch and support was immense.  You truly captured what Rab was all about as a person and what we all wanted for him as a tribute and what he wanted for himself.  When you delivered his tribute it was almost as if you knew him personally.  Even though I had read it all several times over it was completely different and somehow fresh on the day.  You did a tremendous job.  It was uplifting, not at all morbid like he wished and a true celebration of his life. Everyone who attended Rab’s funeral had very positive things to say about you and your tribute and how personal and unique it was to him.  You did a fantastic job with the music too.  You totally deserve success in the future. My Dad was a very private person and we doubted very much we could give you enough stories to fill our allotted time, but somehow your charm and your warmth broke through our own personal barriers and the memories that seemed unimportant and ordinary suddenly became the very essence of my dad.   You made us realise that dad was not “just dad” but a man who had quietly provided for us, looked out for us and was immensely proud of us and there are no words to express how truly grateful we all are to you.   (FJ)
